Andreia Silva

Andreia Silva has a degree in geography and is currently a master’s student in Physical Geography and Spatial Planning at the University of Lisbon.  She specialises in the area of coastal risks. In 2021, she was part of the Planta II research project (PTDC/CTA-GQU/31208/2017), which studied the impacts of fluvial transport on salt marsh ecosystems and tidal flats. In 2022, she joined the Highwaters project (EXPL/GES-AMB/1246/2021), which aimed to calculate and map erosion on coastal areas and sea level rise hazard zones, projected urban land use until the end of the century, and presented personalized coastal risk profiles. She currently works as a geoscience analyst with a focus on coastal risks.
