Caio Fonteles is an oceanographer with a master’s in Physical Oceanography and with complementary training in Data Science and FullStack Development. He has extensive experience in data processing, qualification, and analysis, from in situ collection to remote detection. Has knowledge in several programming languages applied to data science and web development such as Python, Matlab, Shell Script, Ruby and JavaScript. Professionally, he worked at the National Institute for Space Research (Brazil) with the processing of satellite images (Infrared, visible, altimetry, SAR). He also worked at Petrobras, analysing real-time meteo-oceanographic data to aid offshore operations. At Gardline Brazil, he developed tools for monitoring, processing, and qualifying data from different sources, from oceanographic buoys to autonomous vehicles. He also participated in field activities, glider piloting and training for glider piloting and data analysis. He integrates +ATLANTIC in the Data Sciences sub-domain.
