Beatriz Lopes has a degree in Meteorology, Oceanography, and Geophysics and is a master’s student in Geophysical Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. She is currently working on her master’s thesis at +ATLANTIC CoLAB, where she is part of the Earth Observation and Geospatial Analytics team. Her research focuses on characterising the atmospheric variables and modes of climate variability associated with marine heat waves in the North Atlantic. Additionally, she is involved in studying marine heatwaves with satellite and in situ data at aquaculture farms.
